These efforts include a world-class scientific research project studying marine life worldwide and major recycling projects. In addition, the company is a 50-percent joint venture owner of the world's most experienced scientific coring drillship, JOIDES Resolution. Our involvement in these and other efforts is aimed at better understanding of the marine environment and natural resources not only for our company and the offshore petroleum industry but also for the benefit of the worldwide scientific community and education-based organizations.
