Stephen L. Hayes is Vice President, Tax, of Transocean Ltd.

Mr. Hayes joined the company in this position in November 2005. Before joining the company, he served as Vice President, Tax, for Unocal Corporation. Mr. Hayes previously served in management positions with Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO). He started his career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen.

He is a certified public accountant and holds a Masters of Professional Accounting degree (Taxation) from the University of Texas at Austin, Texas, and a Bachelors of Business Administration (Accounting) from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
